Someday.

Someday, we'll be a life's length of love.
And someday, we'll have an arm-full of little ones
made from little sparks inside our thoughts
and tiny kisses on our hearts,
mingling so well, my love.

Someday, we'll be a patchwork piece of art.
Someday, people will find me where you are,
close-knit and stitched into your side
feeling your sweet breath fall and rise,
and I will wake you in the night
just to see what you have to say
'cos I won't be able to wait for daylight.

Someday, they'll say we're two branches of one tree.
And someday, I'll say that's not good enough for me.
'Cos we're more like part of each other's self.
To say that you breathe, then I must be the breath.
Not even dying could undo what we have done,
set as a seal upon my heart,
upon your heart, my love.

Connect.

I say 'I love you'
when you can't hear me
just for the fact
that it might reach.
Three-words-deep
in your mind,
they might touch you;
three little guards
at the door
of your dreams.
